Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book before publication。I’m not going to lie, it was difficult keeping myself from shouting while reading this book。 Silently, I kept chanting “Yes yes yes yes” over and over again。 The imagery, the honesty, and the diversity work SO well together。 I thought this was going to be another example of female leaders around the world, past and present, and it surprised and thrilled me to find that it was not。 I love seeing Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book before publication。I’m not going to lie, it was difficult keeping myself from shouting while reading this book。 Silently, I kept chanting “Yes yes yes yes” over and over again。 The imagery, the honesty, and the diversity work SO well together。 I thought this was going to be another example of female leaders around the world, past and present, and it surprised and thrilled me to find that it was not。 I love seeing those leader books, because everyone should know their names and accomplishments。 But we’ve had a number of those and after the 8th one, I’m starting to feel the redundancy。 This book is about possibilities, the possibilities found in all of us as we grow。 Unfortunately, girls come up against some stupid obstacles that boys don’t have to worry about, just because of their sex and gender。 This book is about rising above adversity; seeking equality and equity between the sexes and races; learning about what’s out there and believing that anything is really possible。 This is the kind of book that everyone should read, not just girls and women。 Boys and men not only deserve to hear this too, but they need to be educated on male privilege, sexism, and inequality, as well as how they can help break the cycle。 When is this book coming out? I need it yesterday, please。 。。。more

A lovely poem to inspire girls from all over the world to take on the future by being anything the want to become。 The book is really beautifully illustrated, and children will love admiring each page and seeing themselves represented thanks to the great diversity of girls included。[Thank you NetGalley for giving me the chance to read an ARC of this book。 ]

I received an advanced copy via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review Girls of the World is a children’s book that encourages equality of all girls regardless of race。 There is also disability representation which is very much appreciated。 I liked that the illustrations showed young girls exploring careers that women are typically underrepresented in such as STEM and auto mechanics。 The artwork was very well done。 This book is very positive in nature and would be a great read for any child。 I received an advanced copy via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review Girls of the World is a children’s book that encourages equality of all girls regardless of race。 There is also disability representation which is very much appreciated。 I liked that the illustrations showed young girls exploring careers that women are typically underrepresented in such as STEM and auto mechanics。 The artwork was very well done。 This book is very positive in nature and would be a great read for any child。 Thank you to the author and publisher for this advanced copy。 。。。more

I received an electronic ARC from Zonderkidz through Edelweiss+ and NetGalley at the same time。Empowering story for younger readers。 Davis stresses how important it is for girls to speak up for themselves and other girls。 She offers a look at all the places they can explore and all the ways they can challenge themselves to grow。 The rhyme scheme is a bit weak at times but the points come through clearly。 Brightly colored and detailed artwork supports the main ideas。

O my! This was such an empowering read。 Even as an adult I was thinking ‘yes…。go girls!’ As a teacher of a STEM subject, I often come up against the stereotypical scientist being male and I have spent quite a bit of time trying to break that notion。 I love that the book also showcases diversity and that nothing should hold you back。 I loved the range of activities showcased, the illustrations were great and the message was very clear。

Thoughts:I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily。 This is a great book to read to young girls as they grow up, teaching them that they can do anything that they want to but also the importance of their voices。 The illustrations were great and I was happy with the diversity demonstrated with varying races, disabilities, dress style and even hairstyles/headdresses)。 I also loved the message to all the girls of the world at the end。 Favourite Quote:"It's Thoughts:I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily。 This is a great book to read to young girls as they grow up, teaching them that they can do anything that they want to but also the importance of their voices。 The illustrations were great and I was happy with the diversity demonstrated with varying races, disabilities, dress style and even hairstyles/headdresses)。 I also loved the message to all the girls of the world at the end。 Favourite Quote:"It's time to be heard by the world through our voices。 Speak up for ourselves and express our choices。" 。。。more

I had concerns about this book and was wonderfully surprised。 I’m now 65 and this is some of the same advice I’ve given my daughter, sisters, friends and granddaughter。 It was a gentle, encouraging book。 It’s sad to think there are still parts of this world where girls and women aren’t valued。 The illustrations were cheerful and beautiful。 This is a book I would give as a gift to great nieces and great granddaughters。 I was given an ARC to review from NetGalley and the publishers。 Thank you。 My I had concerns about this book and was wonderfully surprised。 I’m now 65 and this is some of the same advice I’ve given my daughter, sisters, friends and granddaughter。 It was a gentle, encouraging book。 It’s sad to think there are still parts of this world where girls and women aren’t valued。 The illustrations were cheerful and beautiful。 This is a book I would give as a gift to great nieces and great granddaughters。 I was given an ARC to review from NetGalley and the publishers。 Thank you。 My review is unbiased。 。。。more

I received this book as an ARC at SLJ's Day of Dialog。 As a mother to a daughter, as a woman in the workplace, I want to show other young girls what can be achieved。 I want girls to know that they are capable of great things AND THAT WE SHOULD SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN THEM。 We don't need to tear each other down。 This book continues to promote that! Absolutely lovely read this was。 The cover initially captured my attention along with the title。 The book in total was perfect as it wasn’t too long or short。 It definitely got the point across of empowering girls and letting them know they can achieve what they want in life。 With someone with two little girls herself, this is something I would read to them to remind them of the power they hold。 Would definitely recommend to others。

This children’s book is perfect to read for young girls。 The pictures are colorful and the beautiful art is sweet and cute。 The message is one of girl power and depicts diverse young girls in a variety of situations (environmental, political, athletic, industrious, etc。)。 I like the rhyming and the overall positive vibe。
